Housing & Meals Housing BW Orientation participants will be staying in Ondine Residence Hall, a large residence hall on the Portland State University campus.
Rooms include:
The BW orientation will include a 3-day camping trip to the Oregon Coast. Participants will stay in tent-style, furnished yurts. The campsite includes communal toilet and shower facilities. PSU will provide sleeping bags and additional camping equipment. If camping and traveling is something you plan to do during your stay in the USA, we highly recommend that you think about bringing a sleeping bag and camping equipment with you.
Meals
Meals are not included in the program except during the camping trip. Participants will thus need to purchase their own food at the PSU cafeteria, nearby restaurants, or supermarket during most of the program. Numerous restaurants, coffee shops, and cafes are located near Ondine Hall and throughout and adjacent to the PSU campus. A large supermarket is within a 10-minute walk. Food for preparing meals will be provided during the camping trip. Participants will be responsible for helping in the preparation
of group meals. Cooking will be done over an outdoor barbeque, camping stove, and
fire pit. |
