Medical Insurance

Health care in the United States is VERY expensive (to be honest, it's unbelievably expensive). For this reason, all international university students in Oregon are required to have medical insurance.

University sponsored health insurance
At most OUS universities international students are automatically signed up and billed for Extended Coverage Accident & Medical Insurance through that university. More >>

Bringing your our insurance?
Students who show proof of that they already have accident and medical insurance, (equivalent to the coverage required by Oregon state law), can fill out a Waiver Form and do not have to pay for this Extended Coverage Accident and Medical Insurance. More >>

On-campus Student Health Center
All OUS universities have a full-service Student Health Center located on campus. All full-time enrolled students, including international students and exchange students are automatically charged a University Health Service Fee. This Health Service Fee allows students to visit the university Student Health Center FREE of charge, and receive medical treatments at a reduced price. More >>
